Starting a new role can feel like a lot to take in, especially in a fast-paced, target-driven environment like recruitment. At Park Avenue, we make sure every new consultant, whether a graduate or an experienced recruiter, has the support, structure and guidance they need to succeed. Here is what the first 12 weeks look like for our new joiners:
For graduates: structured learning with real responsibility
Graduates joining Park Avenue follow a 12-week training programme designed to build strong foundations while giving them the chance to apply their learning straight away. Over the 12 weeks, they:
- Learn how to source, engage and build relationships with candidates
- Master interview and candidate management techniques
- Get to grips with our CRM and recruitment tools
- Build understanding of the market, client expectations and salary insights
The training is practical, collaborative and supported by experienced team members. Graduates learn quickly because they are applying new skills from day one. It is a steep learning curve, but the right kind.
For experienced consultants: fast, confident integration
For experienced recruiters, the first 12 weeks focus on helping them settle in, understand how we work and start delivering quickly. This includes:
- Learning our processes, tools and approach to client and candidate management
- Being introduced to key clients and market expectations
- Combining their existing experience with the unique strategies and culture that make Park Avenue stand out
We want experienced consultants to feel empowered to hit the ground running while still having the support to embed themselves in the team.
Ongoing support and culture
Regardless of experience level, every new consultant is supported by our culture initiatives, including regular check-ins, mentorship, and team engagement activities. For us, feeling connected and motivated is key to long-term success.
By the end of the first 12 weeks, every consultant, whether graduate or experienced, has a solid foundation, confidence in their role, and a clear path to making a meaningful impact for our clients and candidates.
They leave onboarding not only equipped with the skills they need, but with the clarity, support and momentum to grow and succeed in their own way.
If this sounds like the next step for your career, we’d love to hear from you. Head over to our Join the Team page to explore current opportunities and start your journey with Park Avenue.
