CIL TEAM LEADER - £70 PER HOUR - 2 YEAR CONTRACT
I am currently partnering with an Hertfordshire based Local Authority who are going through an exciting period of change and are looking a CIL Team Leader on a contract that will last until LGR in 2028.

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an CIL Team Leader or an experienced CIL Officer seeking the next step in their career and the opportunity to move into a leadership position. You will manage a small team while overseeing the effective administration, collection and enforcement of the Community Infrastructure Levy, playing a key role in supporting the authority's growth and infrastructure delivery objectives.
The Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day delivery of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) service, ensuring developer contributions are administered, collected and enforced effectively and in line with legislation.
- Managing and supporting a small team of CIL Officers, allocating workloads, providing training, and ensuring performance targets are achieved.
- Manage and oversee the effective operation of the CIL function, ensuring the accurate administration, collection and recovery of levy payments.
- Lead a high-performing CIL service, ensuring the efficient management of levy payments and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Experience Needed
- Extensive experience administering Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) within a Local Authority environment.
- Strong knowledge of CIL Regulations, planning legislation and developer contributions.
- Previous experience supervising staff or leading projects, or alternatively a senior CIL Officer ready to step into a management role.
