An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Planning Enforcement Officer to join a friendly and supportive local authority planning team in North Wales.
Offering an initial six-month contract with potential for longer-term work, this role would suit an enforcement professional who can hit the ground running and confidently manage cases with minimal supervision.
The Role
You will be responsible for investigating alleged breaches of planning control, progressing enforcement cases, serving enforcement notices and liaising with applicants, landowners and other stakeholders to secure appropriate resolutions.
The authority does handle some GNT enforcement cases, but these are currently being managed by permanent members of staff and will not be the main focus of this position.
What's on Offer?
- £40-£45 per hour, depending on experience
- Initial six-month contract, with potential for extension
- Hybrid working, with just one day per week on site
- IR35 status currently being confirmed
- ASAP start available
- Interviews scheduled for Thursday 15th October 2026

We're keen to hear from experienced Planning Enforcement Officers with a strong understanding of planning enforcement procedures, the confidence to progress cases independently and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
