- £800 - £900 per day
- Initial 4-month contract - strong potential to extend
- 2 days per week in office
We're working with a Local Authority in the North West area who are looking for an experienced Interim Head of Property & Asset Strategy to provide leadership across a sizeable property function.
This isn't simply a role focused on keeping the service running. The Council is looking for someone who can come in, assess the current position, identify what needs to change and then lead the implementation of those changes.
You'll be responsible for a team of approximately 20-30 people, providing strategic direction while helping shape the future of the Council's property and corporate asset approach.
Key areas will include:
- Leading and developing a sizeable Property / Estates function
- Reviewing existing structures, processes and ways of working
- Delivering strategic asset reviews and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Developing and implementing Corporate Asset Strategies
- Experience of Corporate Landlord models and wider property transformation
- Turning strategy into tangible operational change
- Providing senior-level advice and direction across the organisation
The Council is particularly interested in someone who brings more than traditional property management experience - they want a leader with the vision to understand what a modern Local Authority property service should look like and the experience to make that happen.
Ideally, you will be MRICS qualified with a strong Local Authority background and previous experience leading large multidisciplinary property teams.
Interviews are expected in the third week of September, with a view to starting in early October.
