We are partnering with a London Borough undergoing a Major Programme of capital works in the coming years and as a result are looking to bring in a finance lead responsible for helping the authority navigate the change this project will bring from a commercial and financial point of view.
There is a major programme of Capital works planned within the Borough which will involve relocation of schools, villages, business and the rerouting of a major motorway which runs through the borough.
Main Responsibilities…
- Building financial models around relocations of business, schools and care homes within the Borough.
- Coordinating compensation and reimbursement structures for affected parties.
- Preparing cabinet and treasury reports pertaining to
- Handling grant or government funding streams pertaining to the Project.
- Helping internal council departments understand knock-on costs within the organisation including impacts on NNDR receipts.
An Ideal Candidate…
- Previous experience working on and understanding of Capital Projects within Local Government is essential.
- Project management experience within Local Government.
- Understanding of and previous handling of Grants and external funding streams within Local Government.
