Planned & Cyclical Works Surveyor
Location: East London
Rate: £325 per day via Umbrella
Working Pattern: Agile - approximately 1 day per week in the office
The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Planned & Cyclical Works Surveyor to join a housing organisation in East London.
This is a hands-on and varied role where you will take ownership of planned and cyclical works from a technical and delivery perspective. You'll work closely with contractors, attend site, undertake inspections and ensure works are being delivered to the required standard.
The role will involve a mixture of technical surveying, contract management, site inspections and administration, so it would suit someone who enjoys being involved across the full lifecycle of planned works rather than focusing on just one area.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee planned and cyclical works programmes
- Undertake property surveys, inspections and post-inspections
- Provide technical advice and support on planned works
- Liaise with contractors and attend regular contract meetings
- Monitor works on site and ensure quality and compliance
- Review and assess variations and contractor submissions
- Ensure works are properly evidenced and recorded
- Support the wider administration and technical delivery of programmes
- Work closely with internal teams and external contractors to ensure projects are delivered effectively
The role is agile, with approximately one day per week in the office and the remainder split between home working, site visits and contractor meetings.
