I am currently partnering with an Essex based Local Authority who are looking for an experienced Planning Officer to come in and add instant value to the team.

The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in the determination of planning applications, delivering clear and well-reasoned decisions in accordance with planning policy. The role involves providing professional advice to applicants and responding to planning enquiries while contributing to an efficient and customer-focused Development Management service.
The Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of householder and minor planning applications.
- Conduct site inspections and assess development proposals.
- Prepare delegated and committee reports.
- Provide planning advice to applicants, agents and stakeholders.
- Support appeals and contribute to positive planning outcomes
Experience Needed
- Previous experience within Development Management in a local authority setting.
- Ability to assess and determine a varied caseload of planning applications.
- Strong understanding of planning legislation, policy and decision-making processes.
- Full Uk Driving Licence
