Ready to take on your next interim role within the Private Rented Sector?
A West Sussex local authority is seeking an experienced Private Rented Sector Officer to join their team on an initial 3-month contract.
You'll be supporting tenants and landlords within the private rented sector, working to prevent homelessness and secure sustainable accommodation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering tenancy sustainment support to private sector tenants and landlords
- Preventing homelessness through mediation around rent arrears and welfare benefit changes, including Universal Credit
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with private landlords and letting agents
- Sourcing suitable private rented accommodation to discharge homelessness duties
- Supporting the Council's Rent in Advance and Deposit Guarantee Scheme, including investigating deposit claims
What you'll need:
- Recent PRS experience within a UK local authority
- Experience using Home Connections (desirable)
- Ability to work 2 days per week in the office (some travel across the district may be required)
