Park Avenue are looking for a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to manage the Commercial Property and Investment Interests of a Borough Council based in the home counties.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the financial management of the Joint Venture and Limited Liability Partnerships that the council have with the private sector.

Whilst a small Local Authority, they have a large Capital / Commercial portfolio of over £200 million with the interim brought in reporting directly into the Section 151.

Main Responsibilities…

• Leading on commercial financial modelling, forecasting and option appraisal to support income-generating initiatives.
• Provide high-quality financial insight to senior managers, enabling evidence-based decision-making on commercial projects.
• Monitor the financial performance of traded services, joint ventures, and commercial partnerships.
• Lead on financial due diligence for new commercial opportunities.

An Ideal Candidate Would…

• Have an intimate understanding and experience working within Capital Projects in Local Government.
• Have a strong commercial background potentially within the private sector or in dealing with development associated with Housing Associations.
• Have the ability to provide fortnightly office presence in an office in central England.

This is an initially six-month position paying anywhere from £550 to £650 per day.
