A local authority in Gloucestershire is seeking experienced Housing Triage Officers to support the frontline service and respond to new homelessness presentations.
You'll play a key role in the initial stages of the housing process, helping individuals in crisis by delivering timely advice, completing assessments, and ensuring appropriate referrals are made.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Conduct initial triage assessments for households presenting as homeless
- Provide clear, practical advice and support in line with the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017
- Identify the appropriate duties under Part VII of the Housing Act 1996
- Refer eligible cases to the Housing Options team for full assessment
- Work within a fast-paced environment while delivering a high standard of customer service
- Benefit from hybrid working arrangements
