A local authority in Kent is seeking a Housing Allocations Officer to support their housing team in delivering a fair and effective service under Part 6 of the Housing Act 1996. You'll play a key role in managing housing applications, assessing eligibility and priority, and supporting residents in need of social housing.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage housing register applications in line with Part 6 of the Housing Act 1996 and the council's allocations policy
- Verify eligibility, banding, and priority awards for applicants
- Liaise with internal teams and housing providers to facilitate suitable offers
- Ensure accurate records are maintained and cases are progressed efficiently
- Provide clear advice and guidance to applicants regarding the housing application process
- Hybrid working available, offering flexibility
