Interim Estates Surveyor | Essex
An Essex Local Authority is seeking an experienced Interim Estates Surveyor to join its Estates team on an initial 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of strategic estate management and asset disposal projects within a busy local authority environment.
Contract Details:
Contract: Initial 3 months
Rate: £450-£475 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Essex
Hybrid Working: 1-2 days per week in the office
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Council's strategic disposals programme, including the sale of freehold land and property assets.
- Undertaking Residential Right to Buy valuations.
- Developing and implementing debt recovery and enforcement strategies across the investment portfolio.
- Negotiating with a variety of external stakeholders, including public sector partners and third parties.
- Supporting the wider Estates team with asset management initiatives and redevelopment strategies for key sites.
About You:
- Local authority or wider public sector estates experience (essential).
- MRICS qualification (preferred).
- Strong experience across landlord and tenant matters, valuations, acquisitions/disposals and strategic asset management.
