Personal Assistant to Director
Contract: Temporary (Initial 3-Month Assignment, with extension)
Hours: 35 Hours per Week

Rate: £23.00 - £28.00phr LTD
About the Role
I am seeking a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and executive support to a senior Director. This is an initial 3-month temporary assignment, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced PA to work within a fast-paced local government environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Director's diary, coordinating meetings, handling correspondence, and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day administrative functions. The role requires excellent organisational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Previous experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or Senior Administrator supporting Director-level or senior management.
- Experience working within a local authority, housing association, social housing provider, property services organisation, or repairs and maintenance environment.
- Strong understanding of the demands and priorities associated with housing, property, repairs, maintenance, or operational service delivery teams.
- Excellent diary management and meeting coordination skills.
- Experience preparing reports, presentations, agendas, and minutes for senior management meetings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- High level of discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting Directors or Heads of Service within Housing, Property Services, Asset Management, Facilities Management, Repairs, Maintenance, or Construction teams.
- Knowledge of local government or social housing operations and governance processes.
- Experience monitoring actions and coordinating responses across multiple service areas.
