I am working with a District Council in Cambridgeshire who are looking to recruit a Principal Planning Officer on an initial 6-month contract. This role is to cover a secondment within the team for the initial time-frame, and it has a very strong likelihood of an extension. My client is looking for a Principal Planning Officer who is able to start at the beginning of June, comfortable and adept at working on mixed case load of complex minors, 5 - 150 dwellings, employment sites and some industrial work.
What you'll be doing:
- Mixed case
- Complex minors and Majors, 5 - 150 dwellings
- Centres of local employment
- Liaising with developers, internal stakeholders, and planning committee
The experience you'll bring:
- Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)
- Strong knowledge of planning legislation and regulations
- Proven experience in major planning applications
