We are partnering with a Borough Council situated in the South of England in sourcing an interim Section 151 Officer for an initial six month contract.
The remit of the position naturally extends from overseeing the Business Partnering, Technical, Exchequer Function and the Revenue's and Benefits Functions of the Council whilst dealing with members and attending council meetings.
Reporting into the Chief Executive the successful candidate will also be tasked with overseeing a signifcant savings programme and navigating the authority's positon within its respective county when it comes to LGR.
The position is offering between £800 to £1000 per day depending prior experience and would require a fortnightly office presence at a minimum.
Those with a extensive senior finance experience will naturally be favoured, especially those with a proven track record in delivering significant cost savings programmes.
