About the Role

I am seeking an experienced Supply Chain Support Officer to join a busy repairs and maintenance team on an initial 3-month contract.

The successful candidate will provide essential support across contractor management, supply chain coordination, and contract administration activities. Working closely with operational teams, suppliers, contractors, and service managers, you will help ensure the efficient delivery of repairs and maintenance services through effective coordination, monitoring, and administrative support.

This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and previous experience working within housing, property services, repairs, maintenance, or local government environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support for repairs and maintenance contracts.
  • Coordinate activities between contractors, suppliers, and internal service teams.
  • Support contract management processes, ensuring accurate records and documentation are maintained.
  • Monitor contractor performance data and assist with the production of performance reports.
  • Track compliance documentation, certifications, and contractual requirements.
  • Support the management of supply chain relationships and contractor communications.
  • Maintain accurate contract records, purchase orders, invoices, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with service improvement initiatives and process reviews.
  • Monitor outstanding actions and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Support meetings with contractors and suppliers, including agenda preparation, minute taking, and action tracking.
  • Respond to enquiries from internal stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure systems and databases are maintained accurately and up to date.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Supply Chain Support, Contract Support, Contract Administration, Repairs Support, or Property Services Administration role.
  • Experience working within a local authority, housing association, social housing provider, property services, or repairs and maintenance environment.
  • Understanding of contractor management and contract administration processes.
  • Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
  • Experience producing reports and maintaining accurate records.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced operational environment.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience supporting responsive repairs, planned maintenance, compliance, or asset management contracts.
  • Knowledge of social housing repairs and maintenance services.
  • Experience working with contractor performance monitoring and KPI reporting.
  • Familiarity with housing management, repairs, or contract management systems.
  • Understanding of procurement and supply chain processes within a public sector environment.

Important Information

Applicants must have previous experience working within housing, local government, social housing, property services, or repairs and maintenance environments. Applications without relevant sector experience are unlikely to be considered.
