Validations Officer

South West England Contract £30 - £32 Per Hour

I am working with a Local Authority in the South West who are seeking a Validations Officer to join their Town Planning team. This role is perfect for someone with experience in planning validations who wants to make an immediate impact in a supportive and dynamic council environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate and register major and minor planning applications in line with the Town and Country Planning Act and local validation requirements.

  • Review application submissions for accuracy, completeness, and statutory compliance.

  • Liaise with applicants, agents, and internal planning officers to resolve validation queries.

  • Maintain accurate records using the council's planning and case management system.

Role Details:

  • Contract Length: 3 months

  • Rate: £32 per hour

  • Working Pattern: Flexible hybrid/remote options (e.g., occasional office attendance, potentially once a week or less)
