Park Avenue are pleased to be partnered with a Local Authority in Hertfordshire who require a Head of Building Services.
PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS PERMANENT.
- Managing a team of 5 including: Building Surveyors x3, Asbestos Surveyor and a Construction Safety Manager (repairs).
- Reporting to the Interim Head of Property
- Overseeing all repairs, maintenance and compliance on the Council's corporate estate. The Council have a 96% occupancy rate, so you'll be dealing with tenants on these matters. You'll also cover void assets (4-5 assets).
- Managing the Capital Programme - ensuring the future forward plan is on track.
- Garages are the Council's largest source of income, and you'll support the Building Surveyor dedicated to these in managing the repairs and maintenance (over 6500 garages in total).
The council work on a hybrid basis, with you being required in the office 2-3 days per week. You'll be involved in a weekly management meeting with the Head of FM and Head of Property, providing updates on the team and workload. Local Authority experience not essential.
