A West Sussex local authority is seeking an experienced Homelessness Prevention Officer to join their busy team on an interim basis.

Day to day, you'll be:

  • Identifying households at risk of homelessness at the earliest opportunity
  • Providing advice, support, and practical interventions to enable households to remain in, or secure, accommodation
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory duties under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and other relevant legislation
  • Working with households in temporary accommodation to support their transition to more settled housing.
