We are seeking a proactive and customer‑focused Housing Assistant to support the delivery of high‑quality housing management services across a West London patch. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, thrives in a busy environment, and is committed to helping residents receive an excellent and consistent service.
You will work as part of a collaborative housing management team, providing essential operational and administrative support to ensure services are reliable, responsive, and resident‑centred.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Housing Officers and Managers in delivering consistent, high‑quality services to residents.
- Act as the first point of contact for resident queries via phone, email, letter, and face‑to‑face.
- Process tenancy‑related requests including assignments, successions, tenancy changes, mutual exchanges, service charge enquiries, and key/fob or parking requests.
- Maintain accurate and detailed resident information across internal systems.
- Liaise with contractors, external partners, and internal teams to ensure prompt resolutions.
- Assist with resident engagement activities, meetings, and committees.
- Carry out administrative tasks such as scanning, data input, minute taking, mail merges, and survey processing.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and safeguarding policies.
- Contribute towards the achievement of team KPIs, SLAs, and customer satisfaction goals.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in customer service, ideally within housing or a similar customer‑focused environment.
- Strong communication skills with confidence in dealing with a wide range of enquiries.
- Ability to prioritise, stay organised, and manage competing demands.
- A proactive problem‑solver with attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Understanding of housing or tenancy processes (desirable).
