We're looking for a proactive Housing Officer to join a busy Housing Management team in Surrey and provide a high‑quality, customer‑focused service to local residents.
In this role, you'll manage your own patch, ensuring properties, estates and communities are well‑maintained, safe, and supported. You'll work closely with tenants, local partners and agencies, helping to sustain tenancies, tackle anti‑social behaviour, and support vulnerable residents where needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a patch of 600 housing stock and build strong relationships with residents.
- Provide tenancy support, respond to issues, and help sustain successful tenancies.
- Manage cases involving anti‑social behaviour and tenancy breaches, and support safeguarding where required.
- Monitor estate standards, liaise with contractors, and ensure a safe living environment.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies.
What You'll Need
You'll need experience working in housing management or a similar customer‑facing role, along with strong communication and problem‑solving skills. This is a predominantly patch‑based role, so you'll spend most of your week out in the community managing properties and meeting residents. Because of this, you must have a full driving licence and access to a car, as regular travel is essential.
