INTERIM REPAIRS SURVEYOR
ESSEX
Park Avenue are working with a Local Authority in Essex who require two Interim Repairs Surveyors. You'll work with the existing team to manage the responsive repairs, voids, and planned works across the housing stock. A key focus for the council is provide a 'value for money service', reflecting the highest standards of excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out repairs and voids inspections and produce schedules of works.
- Carry out inspections of works in our homes to monitor quality standards and ensure that any follow up work is satisfactorily completed.
- Monitoring health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Ensure that all IT systems are updated in a timely manner.
- Project manage any ad-hoc projects ensuring that works are completed on time and within budget.
- Investigate disrepair claims and provide necessary reports and other evidence as required by our legal team.
Experience required:
- Knowledge of repairs, maintenance and planned works and the ability to examine the condition of buildings and advise on ways to improve them.
- Supervising and managing contractors to ensure quality control of work.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
- Confident and competent use of ICT software and systems.
The Council require you in the office/on site at least 3 days per week. Visits will all be within the borough.
