East of England, London Contract £55 - £60 Per Hour

Looking for your next role in a Major Projects Team working on some juicy applications?

We're working with an Essex based authority on an exciting interim opportunity for an experienced Principal Planning Officer to take on a hands-on caseload of major, high-profile applications.

This role is purely delivery-focused - no mentoring or sign-offs, just interesting, complex work.

Projects range from 100 to 1,000+ units, covering Green Belt/Grey Belt, as well as commercial and residential developments. You'll need to be confident writing reports and presenting at committee.

The Council operates a hybrid model, with two days in the office.

The contract is 3-month rolling, though planners have stayed for years, once embedded.

Rates are competitive and will depend on experience.
