I am working with a Local Authority in the South West who are seeking an experienced Technical Support & Validation Officer to provide immediate support during a period of transition within the service. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with strong planning validation experience to join a busy team and make an immediate impact from day one.
The Role:
As a Technical Support & Validation Officer, you will:
* Validate planning applications in accordance with national and local validation requirements
* Provide technical support to the wider Planning Service
* Liaise with applicants, agents and consultees to resolve validation queries
* Maintain accurate planning records and ensure applications are processed efficiently
* Support the smooth operation of the Development Management team
* Manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision
Contract Details:
- Duration: Initial 3-month contract
* Rate: Up to £35 per hour
* Working Arrangement: Hybrid arrangement
* Interviews: Early next week
* Start Date: ASAP
* Requirement: Recent Local Authority planning validation experience is essential - the team requires someone who can hit the ground running with minimal training
