Corporate Director of Assets & Property (Interim)
Location: West London
Contract: 3-6 months (initial)
Rate: £800-£900 per day (Inside IR35, DOE)
Working Pattern: 3 days in the office / 2 days from home
Overview
Park Avenue Recruitment are pleased to be partnering with a West London Local Authority to appoint an Interim Corporate Director of Assets & Property.
This is a high-impact leadership role, reporting directly to the Executive Director of Regeneration, Housing & Environment, with responsibility for shaping and delivering a cohesive asset management strategy across a large and diverse property portfolio.
The Role
You will lead the strategic management of the council's corporate and commercial estate, driving performance, value, and long-term sustainability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead on a comprehensive asset management strategy
- Leading a significant disposal programme, building on £200m+ of assets already sold
- Improving performance across facilities management, rent collection, and asset optimisation
- Ensuring effective governance and oversight of a large and varied property portfolio
- Driving commercial outcomes and maximising income generation opportunities
- Providing strong leadership to a large multidisciplinary team, fostering high performance and accountability
