Park Avenue is pleased to be working with a long-standing local authority client in Norfolk that is seeking an experienced Surveyor to support its property team, with a particular focus on managing disposals from inception through to completion ahead of Local Government Reorganisation (LGR).
The Contract
- Initial 3-6 month contract, with potential for extension
- £400-£500 per day (DOE)
- Full-time or part-time hours available
- 2 days per week in the office
The Role
- Undertake ad hoc rent reviews and lease renewals
- Advise on the most effective disposal strategy (sale, lease, auction, tender, or transfer)
- Carry out or commission property valuations
- Assess market values and disposal proceeds
- Prepare assets for disposal
- Negotiate terms and contractual conditions
- Manage bids and offers
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Present recommendations to the Council
- Instruct solicitors and oversee legal progress
- Ensure all disposals comply with relevant legislation, planning requirements, and organisational policies
