Based in a well-connected East Midlands authority, the location is easily commutable from across the region and surrounding counties.
The council is looking to strengthen its Major Projects Team, ideally with someone who has experience working on large-scale schemes of up to around 1,000 units. If your experience is slightly below this level, or you're looking to step up to Principal Planning Officer, I'd encourage you to apply - the right person with the right mindset is the most important factor.
The role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, typically one day per week in the office (though this is open to negotiation) with the remainder working from home. With a strong pipeline of major applications, this is expected to be a long-term rolling contract.
The pay rate is negotiable, but expected rates are between £50.00-£65.00 p/h, and the authority recognises the need for flexibility to secure the right candidate in the current market.
