Senior Enforcement Officer

I am currently working with a London Borough who are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Enforcement Officer to join their team on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced enforcement professional to take ownership of a complex caseload and support the wider Planning Enforcement team during a period of increased workload.

The Role:
As a Senior Planning Enforcement Officer, you will:

• Manage a varied caseload of planning enforcement investigations from complaint through to resolution
• Deal with a range of complex enforcement matters, working with minimal supervision
• Investigate breaches of planning control and assess the need for formal enforcement action
• Prepare reports, draft notices and work closely with legal services where required
• Undertake site visits across the borough
• Liaise with residents, applicants, councillors and other stakeholders
• Support the Team Leader by taking ownership of more complex cases and reducing pressure within the service

Contract Details:

• Duration: Initial 3-month contract
• Working Pattern: Full-time
• IR35 Status: Inside IR35
• Working Arrangement: Flexible working available
• Requirement: Ability to undertake site visits when required. There is no expectation of committing to multiple office days per week.
