Immediate Start: Temporary Accommodation Officer - Lincolnshire
A council in Lincolnshire is seeking a proactive Temporary Accommodation Officer for an initial 3‑month contract, paying £27-£29 per hour (umbrella).
What you'll be doing:
- Assessing the move‑on housing needs of households living in temporary accommodation
- Supporting applicants with bidding strategies, PRS options, and access to specialist housing pathways
- Ensuring all placements meet statutory duties and comply with council policies
- Helping applicants negotiate realistic and affordable rent levels
- Maintaining clear, accurate case records to ensure smooth progress and timely decisions
About you:
We're looking for a driven and empathetic professional with:
- Strong understanding of homelessness legislation, housing law, and landlord/tenant regulation
- Background in allocations, case management, and customer‑facing housing support
- Confident negotiation abilities and strong problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and partner agencies
- Excellent organisation, communication, and IT skills

- Hybrid working, with 1-2 days a week in office
