We are supporting a local authority seeking an experienced ASB Officer to manage high‑risk and complex anti‑social behaviour cases, with a strong focus on supporting vulnerable tenants and sustaining tenancies.
This is a frontline role suited to a confident housing professional who is experienced in case management, enforcement, partnership working, and safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of complex and high‑level ASB cases, including harassment, hate crime, domestic abuse, and persistent nuisance
- Work closely with vulnerable tenants, undertaking risk assessments and putting support plans in place to sustain tenancies
- Investigate ASB reports using a full range of statutory tools and legal remedies, ensuring proportional and evidence‑led decision‑making
- Prepare enforcement actions where necessary, including warning notices, injunctions, and possession proceedings
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners such as Police, Social Services, Mental Health teams, and support agencies
- Attend and contribute to multi‑agency meetings (e.g. MARAC, safeguarding panels)
- Ensure accurate case recording, evidence gathering, and compliance with policies, procedures, and legislation
- Provide clear communication to residents, managing expectations and building trust
About You
- Proven experience working as an ASB Officer or Housing Officer dealing with complex ASB cases
- Strong understanding of ASB legislation, safeguarding, and tenancy enforcement
- Experience supporting residents with mental health issues, substance misuse, or other vulnerabilities
- Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with residents, professionals, and partner agencies
- Resilient, calm under pressure, and able to manage challenging and emotive situations
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a demanding caseload
- Full UK driving licence and ability to work across the borough
