Principal Planning Officer - Surrey (Contract)

Surrey | 3 month rolling contract (Likely Extension) | Flexible Working

A local authority in Surrey is seeking an experienced Principal Planning Officer to provide support within their Majors team on an initial 3-month rolling contract.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse caseload of residential schemes, ranging from mid-sized developments initially, through to a major strategic sites.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing a primary major applications, experience of 500+ units
• Supporting the wider Major Projects team with planning applications and development management duties
• Attending planning committee as required

Additional details:

• Initial 3-month rolling contract, extremely likely to be extended
• Flexible rate - the council is open to discussing hourly rate expectations, £50-£60ph
• Requirement to attend the office/site in the area a couple of days per month, including for committee
• No working from abroad
